About sam

Sam and his wife Debbie established Deiwert Insurance Agency in 1991 after twenty three years as a community banking executive. Sam and Debbie have 4 children and in 2018 celebrated 50 years of marriage. Sam has extensive experience with finance, real estate, and community development. Sam was Mayor of Delphi for eight years and the experience gained during this period of service along with his years of work in finance and real estate brings a wide breadth of life skills to the customers of Deiwert Insurance Agency. In his spare time Sam is a beekeeper and works on restoration of a family farmstead that has been in his family since 1832.

About PETE

Peter joined the Air Force in 2002 where he proudly served four years including two tours of duty in Iraq. After his service he worked for the Department of Defense and in July of 2008 joined his father at Deiwert Insurance. Peter married Crystal in December of 2009 and Crystal joined the agency the 1st of January 2012. Since joining the agency Peter has quickly become proficient in commercial insurance as well as personal insurance. He loves the challenge of analyzing risk and creating the best protection for his customers. Pete is an avid mountain biker, backpacker and overall outdoor enthusiast. In 2012 Pete and Crystal opened CrossFit Uncommon and together have built that into a thriving community that just celebrated 7 years as a business.

As an insurance professional I have found that generating new business can be a daunting task. When I began this agency I quickly realized that regardless of what our marketing efforts were, the bulk of my business still continued to come straight from our existing clients referrals. So, we learned early on, that in order for us to maintain a consistent flow of business, we would need to focus our attention on building our current client referral base. One of the best ways we can ensure that this will happen is to rely on the relationships we already have with our existing clients—people like you.

Jordan Shirk

Account Manager

Jordan found her home at the Deiwert Agency 4 years ago. She provides customer service to our Lafayette clients for personal and commercial needs. With 9 years of experience in the insurance industry, she takes pride in creating relationships with our clients. She is licensed in property & casualty insurance, as well as life & health.

Jordan started working and developing her customer service skills at the age of 15. She graduated from McCutcheon High School and attended classes at Ivy Tech. After taking an office position on a whim, she found a niche for insurance.

Away from the office, Jordan enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors. Gardening and crafting are some of her favorite activities. She was recently married and is enjoying the newest chapter in her life with her husband, KC. You may find her chasing around their 3-year old son, Xander, who keeps her very busy!

Lauren Biddle

Customer Service

Lauren Biddle joined the Deiwert Agency 6 years ago. She provides customer service for the Delphi office, as well as building and cultivating new business. Lauren knows no stranger and loves meeting new people! Her customers truly are an extension of her family.

Lauren was born and raised in Indianapolis and now hails from the BIG CITY of Pine Village! Lauren is married to Casey. Together, they have a son, Charlie, and she is a bonus Mom to Casey’s daughter, Hunter. When Lauren isn’t working you can find her in Indy spending time with her family, camping or at a sporting event for one of the kids!

Walky Little

Customer Service

My name is Walquiria but I go by Walky. I have been working for the Deiwert Agency for almost 2 years now. Before I started working in the insurance business, I was a nurse assistant in a hospital for about 3 years.

I am originally from California, where I lived most of my life with my mom. I moved to Indiana almost 2 years ago with my husband. We met in California when he was stationed at Port Hueneme Navy Base. We have 2 beautiful girls; Mya who just turned 4, and Lorelei who is 10 months old.
